The bag is used to minimize the effects of a failure (e.g. short circuit or puncture) of the Li-Po battery. However, it does not guarantee 100% protection against the effects of a failure. Therefore, it is most important to follow all safety rules related to handling Li-Po packs. In the event of a battery pack burning, the bag's task is to minimize the amount of air in its surroundings and, as a result, smother the fire. Never leave a charging Li-Po battery unattended and never leave the battery (even in this protective bag) on a flammable surface. Always make sure the protective bag is securely closed when the battery is inside it.
