The FPS Softair piston with steel teeth (PM01) is crafted from POM C, a technopolymer known for its high mechanical properties and very low friction coefficient. Designed and manufactured by the Italian company FPS Softair, the steel-tooth strip is produced using Metal Injection Moulding (MIM) technology, providing greater dimensional precision and durability comparable to standard machining processes. Featuring a second missing tooth, and the third tooth is lowered by 0.3mm, this configuration predisposes the piston to achieve the correct Angle of Engagement (AOE) and makes it suitable for configurations with high rates of fire (ROF). The guides are meticulously designed to minimize friction and retain lubrication for an extended period. Longitudinal reinforcements on the sides of the teeth enhance the piston's durability and prevent contact between the teeth and the inner wall of the cylinder.
